I'm now looking at adding more corals and I know the fine sand settling on the corals is going to cause problems. Ooids are spheroidal grains with a nucleus and mineral cortex accreted around it which increases in sphericity with distance from the nucleus. Most oolites are limestones ooids are made of calcium carbonate (minerals aragonite or calcite ). They both move the sand around a ton and kick up the oolite like crazy, so I end up with it all over the rocks and up in the water column. Oolite is a sedimentary rock made up of ooids (ooliths) that are cemented together. There is now about 90lbs of aragonite sand in the tank and only 20lbs of oolite in my 75 gallon tank.įast forward a bit and I have a blue spot jawfish and a diamond sifter goby. They are still available for download as they could be used by players still using older (pre-v1.80) versions of Oolite, and they may also be of some use to others who might wish to study or use code or images contained within them - they all carry a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License. The original OXP version is still available from the archive and can be downloaded here. This expansion has now been converted to OXZ format by Amah and is available via the Expansion Manager. I also contributed to the Staer 9 Chopped Cobra OXP. As TOGY is maintained by others, the conversion is currently on hold. TOGY Memorials is a plug-in for the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard OXP (TOGY), and will be converted when the 'main' OXP is. Most of my OXPs have already been converted to OXZ and are available through the game's in-built Manager, except those listed below. With the release of Oolite v1.80, which has an integrated Expansions Manager, the OXP format for Expansions is being superceded by a new OXZ format.
